Office partitions are always made of grade-A safety glass, either toughened or laminated, depending on if they’re frameless, semi-frameless, or fully framed. Laminated is generally our recommendation as it’s much harder to break than toughened glass due to its polyvinyl interlayer, and it’ll also hold in place when broken. This means no chance of it falling out or onto anyone.

However, laminated safety glass can’t always be used. It depends on what kind of frame is in place, and/or what kind of glass you’ve already got in your office partitions. Often, these decisions are made for us/you by the regulations that govern glass in buildings, AS1288-2006. But we’ll walk you through your options, and we’ll get your office looking great in no time. If you need emergency glass repair, dial our number for instant service. We can almost always get the job done on the same day if required –unless the panel requires a special glass type to be ordered. For example, toughened glass (a form of safety glass) needs to be measured and cut, then rebaked. Thus, no glazing company can install toughened on the same day. However, there are alternatives, such as laminated safety glass.

We always explain the options to our customers, as there’s usually a few when it comes to glazing. However, we always abide by the glazing code (Australian Standard 1288-2006).
