Window Repairs & Replacement
If you’ve got a broken window at your place, chances are you’ll want window repair done fast. This is something we specialise in, whether the window repairs are low level, next to the front door, in the lounge, bedroom, on the second floor -just about anywhere!
With window repairs, there are generally two types of frames that are commonly used throughout Australian homes: timber, and aluminum. Occasionally, there is also steel. Timber-framed window repairs & replacement can either be pretty easy, or quite challenging. This comes down to whether they are timber beading frames, which are easier for us as we can pop the beads on and off, or if they are timber putty frames, which often require a bit of work as the putty gets to be like concrete after a while. We refer to these as ‘timber hack outs’, as we need to hack the putty out with a chisel-like device, and it can often be quite time consuming.
Steel frames are not commonly used today, but they use steel putty. This used to contain asbestos, so good to keep that in mind. That said, like timber putty frames, they are quite labour intensive, and the old steel putty is about the hardest to get out of the channels. Don’t worry, though, we do it all the time!
Whatever your frame type, and whatever the location, we’ve probably de-glazed and re-glazed for similar window repairs, so just give us a call and we’ll help you out. And we’ll get it done fast!

FAIR, FAST GLASS REPAIR
We operate on the principles of fair prices for professionalism, quality workmanship, and rapid response glass repair. And yes, our workmanship is guaranteed.
If you need emergency glass repair, dial our number for instant service. We can almost always get the job done on the same day if required –unless the panel requires a special glass type to be ordered. For example, toughened glass (a form of safety glass) needs to be measured and cut, then rebaked. Thus, no glazing company can install toughened on the same day. However, there are alternatives, such as laminated safety glass.
We always explain the options to our customers, as there’s usually a few when it comes to glazing. However, we always abide by the glazing code (Australian Standard 1288-2006).
