Price is not the only factor in glass repairs…
When considering affordable glass services, price is obviously something to think about. But when it comes to glass repair and installation, there are some important other factors. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
It’s just broken glass, how can it go wrong…
Well, whether it’s a window or door, a lot of things can go wrong if the glazier isn’t experienced, or hasn’t done his or her apprenticeship. For example, if you use float glass in a door and someone goes through it, well, this could lead to terrible injury or worse.
Or, if the installation is for a window breakage and it’s a timber frame, not sealing the frame properly will cost you hundreds more later when the wood rots. And these are just two of many examples.
The glazier will be in your home…
Is the glazier from a reputable company? Does he operate on his own? If you found the glazier on HiPages, who will take ownership if things go wrong? The importance of these points can’t be stressed enough. After all, we’re talking about your security and safety.
Here at Fair Glass Repair, we are family owned and operated, and we’ve been in the business a fair while. We get a lot of repeat corporate customers, and a lot of domestic referrals.
Safety, that’s one we’ve mentioned, but should mention again…
It’s not just about the kind of glass being used, but how the glazing expert goes about the installation. If the window is at height and he falls from your roof, is he liable? You’d think so…But you’d hope he has his insurance in order!
Get your window glass or door glass fixed with security and safety as priorities…
If we haven’t convinced you yet, well, we may be out of luck! But we hope that the next time you have broken glass, you consider a few safety and security factors, along with the price. As the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.
