Security Glass
Whether it’s a shop front, a factory, a large residential glass sliding door or the windows around your front door, security glass is designed to deter burglars and just make it too much work to get through. Not only does it improve your safety, and that of your belongings, but it often increases the value of a property.
The most common types of security glass used are laminated safety glass, which is called so due to the interlayer between the two sheets of glass. This can come in a variety of thicknesses, from 6.38mm, up to 12.38mm. Regardless of the thickness, security glass is designed to resist penetration and forced entry. Repeated hammer blows are necessary to break it, and even then, due to the laminate interlayer, once a hole is made, a crowbar or the like is needed to jimmy it and make the hole larger. It’s a lot of work to get through!
If your business or property has security glass, chances are an attempted burglary may be just that. The effort involved is often too much for would-be thieves. If you’re concerned about your safety, or that of your belongings, just give us a call and we’ll advise you on the best options.

FAIR, FAST GLASS REPAIR
We operate on the principles of fair prices for professionalism, quality workmanship, and rapid response glass repair. And yes, our workmanship is guaranteed.
If you need emergency glass repair, dial our number for instant service. We can almost always get the job done on the same day if required –unless the panel requires a special glass type to be ordered. For example, toughened glass (a form of safety glass) needs to be measured and cut, then rebaked. Thus, no glazing company can install toughened on the same day. However, there are alternatives, such as laminated safety glass.
We always explain the options to our customers, as there’s usually a few when it comes to glazing. However, we always abide by the glazing code (Australian Standard 1288-2006).
- Rapid Response
